Join Hall Area Transit (HAT) for its second job fair from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 8, at HAT headquarters, located at 687 Main St. S.W. near downtown Gainesville.
The City of Gainesville is seeking to recruit and hire on the spot WeGo drivers interested in part-time positions, driving from 2-9:30 p.m. Monday-Friday, noon-7 p.m. Monday-Friday and 5-9 p.m. Monday-Friday.
Applicants hired have the opportunity to earn a $250 signing bonus in addition to a minimum $15.50/hour wage up to 29 hours weekly. Those interested must be 21 years of age, have a valid driver’s license and satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR). To expedite the hiring process, please apply online prior to the job fair here.
Come Feb. 8, engage with City staff during on-site application reviews, interviews, MVR and background checks, then check out the WeGo vehicles for yourself and speak with current drivers about their experiences driving for the City.
