About the event

Anjana Freeman will be our special guest speaker for this important workshop. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor with 10 years working in mental health with adults, adolescents and children, specializing in the treatment of PTSD, sexual trauma, deviant sexual behaviors and family violence issues. Currently, she is working toward a 200 hour yoga instructor certification to incorporate the practice of yoga into the treatment of trauma related disorders. Anjana has taught at the University level for 5 years, both undergraduate and graduate classes in psychology and clinical counseling. She also provide education regarding trauma informed care to professionals in helping professions, as well as self-care education with an emphasis on recognition of secondary and vicarious trauma. Most recently, she has developed and a longitudinal research and service study abroad program called The India Project through the University of North Georgia.
