About the event
Mentoring is a collaborative and positive relationship between a young adult and an interested and more established adult that involves an exchange of knowledge and wisdom, builds bridges with the community, and enhances the confidence and competence of the young adult.
Communication, clarity, and commitment are essential components of an effective mentorship relationship.
Mentees are not the only ones who benefit from a mentoring relationship. Mentors can gain invaluable insights into emerging trends, a view of the challenges younger adults face, and a better understanding of newer technologies that their mentees have grown up using. This mutual learning experience helps bridge generational gaps and fosters deeper connections.
Mentors Matt and Stephanie White said, “The young adults we’ve mentored—and others we’ve met along the way—continue to inspire us every day. The mutual growth we’ve experienced with our mentees have enriched our lives far beyond anything we could have anticipated.”
